Annual festival “WorldFest”

On September 2-5, the largest autumn festival “WorldFest” takes place in Perm’s sister city in Kentucky for the 14^th time. During these 4 days people taste national cuisines, familiarizethemselves with foreign music and dances in the city center.

The musical part includes more than 70 bands, culinary – 70 vendors offer food to residents and guests of the city in 150 specially built pavilions.

In the center of the city, there is a pavilion that tells about 9 twin cities of Louisville.

Traditionally the Parade of Nations moved through the main streets of Louisville.

156 people took part in solemn ceremony of naturalization (became citizens of USA).

In schools of Louisville they speak more than 100 languages. During last 15 years, 35% of population growth is caused by the citizens, who came from more than 150 countries.
