Perm was visited by the delegation of the sister-city Agrigento (Sicily, Italy)

The delegation was headed by the coordinator of sister city relations between Perm and Agrigento, Director of the PRO Studio organization Christian Vassallo. At the meeting with the Mayor of Perm Christian Vassallo informed about the forthcoming elections of the Mayor of the city and new members of the City Council.

Igor Sapko noted the importance of the existing relations between the cities in the field of culture, the high standard of holding festivals and cultural exchanges. At the same time, the other issues were discussed, which could widen the spectrum of the cooperation.

As part of the program of the visit, the guests from Italy held a few business conferences. At the Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture was reached the agreement on the organization of internships for Perm students on the basis of the Academy of Fine Arts named after Michelangelo. At the meeting in the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry the opportunities of creating presentations of the Sicily companies for the Perm business were discussed. Besides, Agrigento plans to join the organization of the exhibition “Sister-cities during World War II”.
