WorldFest International Festival
11.09.2015
It was the 13th time that Perm’s twin city Louisville hosted to WorldFest, one of the region’s largest international festivals in the state of Kentucky, 4-7 September.
The festival offers a fine opportunity to explore and learn cultural diversity. The festival arrangers are eager to boost its dynamics and educational potential extensively from year to year.
A large number of people gathered at the event taking place in the central part of Louisville. Its key attractions were the Parade of Cultures with the city residents wearing their national costumes, and the Global Village, a kaleidoscope of Louisville’s culture, where you could interact with representatives of more than 20 nations. All nine Louisville’s twin cities were represented via poster boards and souvenirs.
NB: Children in Louisville’s schools speak over 90 languages. The city population grew by 50% over the last 15 years because of immigrants.
