The history of the Northrhine Chamber of Commerce dates back to 1797, when the so-called “Trading Representation” was opened in the town of 4 thousand people. At the actual place – opposite the Duisburg Central Station – the Chamber has been situated since 1953. Since 1977, the scope of work by the Northrhine Chamber of Commerce has been supplemented by the Kleve and the Wesel County. As of 2012, the association counts about 61 thousand active members.

- Municipal Autonomous Public Educational Institution “Secondary General Education School № 12 with in-depth study of German language”
School №12 actively takes part in various international school programs. Most demanded ones today are the program by Mr. Gobel "Das Gobelprogramm" (http://www.gastschueler-in-deutschland.de/) and internship of senior classes in linguistic-mathematical gymnasium in Fussen (Bavaria, FRG).
"Das Gobelprogramm" is a private undertaking of a German entrepreneur that allows Russian students to take part in long-term language practice in Germany. Mr. Gobel attaches significant value to let those pupils who have no other way to visit Germany participate in the program. These are children of distant regions of Russia and children from needy families. Students should have good German language skills and should be ready to adapt to unfamiliar circumstances quickly.
In Germany students stay with host families for three months and attend lessons in German school located nearby. They imminently learn German life, extend and deepen their knowledge of German language.

- Saint Maria Evangelic-Lutheran Church
This church architecture memorial mid-19th century was built in neo-gothic style upon the project of H.J. Bosse. Small German community mostly consisting of clerks and various specialists did not have a place of worship in Perm for a long time. This neo-gothic church is associated with similar buildings in Northern Baltic. Since 1930s, the “Fotokollektiv” artel resided here, and since the beginning of 1980s the building was in possession of Actor’s House of the Perm Branch of the Theatre Union. In 1994 the building was returned to the faithful, in 1997 the hip roof was restored and crowned with a cross brought from Germany.

- restoring the historical truth about crimes of Stalin’s regime, about illegitimate terrorist methods of the government of the state, investigating causes and effects of the above methods; providing assistance in admitting totalitarianism crimes as crimes against humanity, developing and implementing constructive proposals in social and legislative spheres devoted to overcoming of the totalitarian legacy and to providing solid guarantees against totalitarianism restoration;
- creating of Memorial Complex funded by public donations and “Memorial” society funds. The Complex should include the Monument to the victims of political repressions, the Memorial museum of political repression history and totalitarianism, Science informational and educational center with a public archive and library; cultural and informational lecturing based on this ground;
- protecting civil rights in various fields, fighting against bureaucratic outrages, studying and dissemination of information about current situation around protection of human rights in Perm region;
- active contribution in democratic transformations, assistance in developing civil and legal consciousness of citizens, fostering young generations an attitude of rule of law;
- taking part in the political life of society by influencing the formation of political will to citizens, taking part in government body and local self-governing authority elections by nominating candidates and organizing their election campaigns, taking part in organizing and operation of such authorities.

German reading rooms has been opened by the Goethe German Cultural Center in Moscow as part of international collaboration with regional libraries of Russia and of the Commonwealth of Independent States (former Soviet Union) since 1992. German Reading Room in Perm was opened on March 1, 2001. The opening became possible thanks to close cooperation between the Goethe German Cultural Center and the Gorky Perm Regional Library. In total, there are sixteen German reading rooms in Russia.

Junge Stimmen Choir was formed in December 1996 under the Perm Evangelical Lutheran Church. The founder of the choir - Erastova Elena Vasilyevna, member of the Ural State Chamber Choir of Perm Regional Philharmonics, has been the head of the choir for 15 years. Since 2007 the choir has belonged to the Department of Foreign Languages, Linguistics and International Communication, Humanitarian Faculty of Perm State Technical University (German-Austro-Russian Center, head: Agapitova T.G., associate professor of the department).
Currently the choir consists of 21 people who love music and German culture. Among them there are students and graduates of Perm universities.
The repertoire of the choir includes various spiritual and mundane musical pieces in German and Russian.
