Duisburg delegation visited Perm

Within development of the sister cities’ relationship between Duisburg (Germany) and Perm (Russia), the delegation of Duisburg headed by Ms Sarah Güttler presiding the “Living Space” charity association, visited Perm. During the visit, Duisburg delegation participated in the international motivational seminar “Specifics of work with people with limited possibilities of health. German experience” on 10 November 2015 at communicative area of “Scientific Centre” of the Gorky Perm Regional Library. The seminar was held with the support of the Ministry of Social Development of Perm Kray, Perm City Administration, Department of International and Inter-municipal Relations of Perm City Duma. The seminar participants discussed the organization of a barrier-free living space for people with limited possibilities of health, for their independent living, professional education, work and rehabilitation. The seminar counted about 90 participants.

On 11 November 2015 a meeting was organized with Ms V.I. Shishkina, President of the Perm Kray’s Branch of the “Russian Society of Disabled People”, and families with disabled children. At this meeting the delegation’s members shared their experience in organizing the independent living of people with limited possibilities of health. Also, the program of the visit included participation in the II Perm Kray’s Families Festival “Our United Family” on 11 November 2015 at Secondary school No. 114.

On 12 November 2015 the results of the visit and the prospects of furthering co-operation were discussed at the meeting in Perm City Duma.
