15.12.2015
From 8-12 December, a delegation of Perm’s sister city Duisburg (Germany) paid a visit to our city. Sarah Güttler, Head of the Living Space (LebensRäume) charity association, underlined that the co-operation of our cities is constantly making progress in realizing social projects, being now already a long-term interaction.
During the German delegation’s visit, its participants carried on two meetings with the representatives of Perm universities. Our guests delivered a lecture to the students of the Faculty of Pre-School Pedagogy and Psychology of the Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University (PSHPU). Also they met with the professors and administration of PSHPU as well as those of Perm State National Research University (PSNRU). The activists of the Association and the universities’ specialists discussed their co-operation and possibilities of creating a comfortable zone for people with limited possibilities of health in Perm educational institutions.
Also, our guests together with Igor Sapko, Head of Perm, participated in the annual Ceremony of Presentation of “Overcome” Prizes and the festival of the same name. Moreover, our guests attended meetings that were planned in November during their last visit with working groups discussing the problems of professional education, job placement and living for people with limited possibilities of health.
On 11 December 2015 Duisburg’s representatives met Pavel Fokin, Deputy Minister of Social Development of Perm Kray. Together they summed up the results of the visit and discussed the prospective co-operation. In winter 2016, Duisburg’s voluntary group activists are planning to return to Perm.
