Master class “Art in Social and Economic Spheres”

For the eighth time Rüdiger Eichholz, famous creative art therapist, artist and educator from Duisburg, visits Perm. And every time the range of his contacts grows. In June, 2016 Mr. Eichholz took part in master class organized by Ural branch of Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education the Ilya Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture and E.U.Moshchanskaya, associate professor in Foreign Languages, Linguistics and Translation, Perm State Technical University. The goal of this master class was presentation of a possibility to use art in economic and social spheres, and also for development of people with limited capabilities. The goal and result were creations of students within the given theme, and moreover, acquaintance with diversity of communication and organization of the projects for different groups of population.
Rüdiger Eichholz possesses great experience in the sphere of organization of creativeness workshops for students of secondary technical schools, which he gives at production site within dual education. In Perm Krai Mr. Eichholz organized the project for disabled people with the help of the company “Territory of success”, in the Palace of Young People's Art. The author shared his experience with beginning artists, first and second year students of Ural branch of the Academy. For practice, on the first day students fulfilled the task on the theme “Relaxation/Stress”: they had to express these feelings in stone. The theme of photo series, which was prepared by the students for the second day, was “Hope/Disappointment”. Use of such opposing themes lets discuss not whose creation is more or less beautiful, but focus on that the human perception is diverse: something, which stresses one person, can be a reason for calm consideration of the problem.
Students shared impressions from master class: “It was interesting to work with the foreign artist. To watch how he works with children, with people with reduced capabilities, helps to see life with a new perspective”; “I enjoyedthe master class because it helped me to develop a new vision of the world around”; “I liked that our guest, Rüdiger Eichholz, showed that everyone has a creative potential, one just needs to develop it. Thanks to him, we have opened up.”
