  • Association Oxford-Perm (Oxford)

    The Association was founded as a continuation for long-term relations between Oxford and Perm, whose beginnings date back to the 1980s on the University level as well as later within co-operation between public organisations. Major targets of the union are assistance in development of co-joint projects of partners from the twin cities, arrangement of mutual visits of delegations and particular representatives of the cities, support of charity and social activitiesп, cultural and scientific exchanges.

  • Perm Regional Public Organisation “House of Friendship” (Perm)

    Perm Regional Public Organisation for the Assistance in Cultural Development “House of Friendship” was founded on November 4, 1998 targeted at the support in harmonisation of interethnic relations and mutual enrichment of ethnic cultures; establishment and extension of relations with ethnic and cultural associations in Russia and abroad; consolidation of effots of organisations and particular persons for development of humanitarian and economic relations between peoples from Russia and further countriesо. As of today, there are 11 sections in the “House of Friendship”. Some of the implemented projects are Festival of Cultures “Perm Mosaic”, Photo Contest “Great Perm”, series of conferences “Dialogues of Cultures”, Youth Interethnic Forum “Perm Region”, Festival of Creative Youth “Rainbow of National Talents”, “Days of Hungarian Culture in Perm”.

  • University of Oxford (Oxford)

    The exact date of the University’s foundation is not clear: There are some data that the education has been provided here since 1096, whereas a real status of the University city was obtained by Oxford in the course of reigning of Henry II Curtemantle (1133-1189). The University of Oxford gave more than 50 Noble prize winners to the world. In different times, its colleges were attended by Lewis Carroll, Oscar Wilde, Percy Shelley, Adam Smith, Johnathan Swift, Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi. As of today, the University counts 38 colleges as well as 6 closed educational institutions mostly belonging to religious orders. More than 20 thousand students have been taught here.

  • Municipal Autonomous General Educational Institution “Lyceum No. 8” (Perm)

    The lyceum was founded in 1991 based on the Secondary School No. 8, which was erected in 1972. The educational institution unites elementary and secondary school as well as the lyceum itself with humanitarian and pedagogical, engineering and technical as well as natural scientific classes. As of today, 1630 students go there, 67 classes are formed. The teaching strength includes 87 persons. In the lyceum, the “European Club” has been operating, whose major targets are studies of foreign languages as well as strengthening of relations to schools and institutions from various European countries.

  • Perm State National Research University (PSNRU, Perm)

    The University was founded in 1916. As of today, there are 12 faculties here. Total number of students is over 12 thousand people. At the University, 40 bachelor and 8 specialist as well as 26 master programs have been implemented. The studies in Perm and the Berezniki branch is provided by 83 departments, 220 doctors, and 660 candidates of sciences. The tightest relations have been established between the PSNRU Faculty of Law and the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law (University of Louisville).

    Organisation dedicates its activities to the promotion of friendship relations and mutual understanding between the Russian Federation and the Great Britain through development of twin city relations Perm-Oxford. Activity fields are establishment of individual and group relations to the partners in Oxford, support of professional and cultural interests, stimulation of English studies, assistance with business and branch contacts.
